Projects delivered efficiently and effectively

We can manage the full lifecycle of your project or individual parts depending on your requirements.

At IT Hotdesk, we utilise five phases of project management within our methodology to assure projects are successfully delivered:

1. Start-up

The goal of this phase is to define the project at a broad level, starting from the identified business case. Identified stakeholders (decision makers) deciding whether this project should proceed.

2. Planning

During this phase, we work with you to understand your needs and the desired outcomes or “deliverables” of your project - which can include discussions, workshops and research. We then define the scope of the project, and design a strategy and roadmap for your project that can be implemented. This includes consideration of each of these areas: success criteria, key completion milestones, commercial milestones, resource planning, communication plan risk management plan and implementation plan.

3. Deployment and monitoring

Our engineer would then support and guide your team throughout the implementation of the project, and provide assistance as and when required to ensure we hit the milestones set. Procurement, configuration and deployment are often considered the key elements of this phase. During this phase, schedules and resourcing may be adjusted to ensure the project is being delivered to the highest level of quality and is on track.

4. Transition

During this phase, all knowledge of the relevant changes which occurred during the project’s lifecycle are transitioned to and accepted by the relevant support teams.

5. Closure

Upon completion, an evaluation (a lessons learned session) is conducted to identify what went well during the project’s execution and areas where improvement can be made on future similar projects. Future improvements, recommendations and advice are then shared. A closure project summary is created and issued, and all project documents and deliverables are confirmed as secure within the project configuration management system.
