Technical Sales Advisor

The Technical Sales Advisor role is a multi-faceted role comprising primarily of business analysis, solution design, quote writing, supply chain management, purchase order/sales order administration.

The Technical Sales Advisor will report to the Technical Operations Manager.

Job Overview

The Technical Sales Advisor role is a multi-faceted role comprising primarily of business analysis, solution design, quote writing, supply chain management, purchase order/sales order administration.

With the primary focus being to assist the business with development of its customers’ quotations that support the capture of clients’ requirements, using consultative skills to architect solutions and service offerings. A secondary element to the role is to provide resiliency in our existing processes within purchase order & sales order placement. Success would be measured by the effectiveness of customer engagements when defining scoping, effective supply chain management acquiring timely, accurate viable pricing and lead-times for services, and accurate technical quotation creation.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Technical
    • ConnectWise manage usage - Entry, update of customer service tickets. Entry of opportunities within ConnectWise
    • Using ConnectWise Sell to Create quotations
    • Remediation planning for customer issues
    • Accurate time management and ticket updates
    • Sage Line 50 – Entry PO & SO
    • Pre-sales tech support for quotations - sales/pricing queries.
    • Email communication to customers and management team
    • Assisting colleagues with queries as required to ensure smooth service provisioning to customers through post business analysis hand over to project implementation teams
  • Analysis & design
    • Engagement with customers to scope product or services; both remotely and onsite.
    • Designing solutions with a consultative approach
    • Technical solution review with technical operations manager
    • Microsoft Azure, MS Office 365, MS SharePoint, MS Teams, Networking, HP Equipment solutions design
  • Sales
    • Creation of opportunities within the pipeline
    • Product catalogs – developing and maintaining
    • Sales quotation templates – developing and maintaining
    • Sharing information to internal Marketing Teams
  • Supply chain & purchasing
    • Acquiring supplier quotations
    • Supply chain management
    • PA assistance on credit card orders on supplier portals
